"Popsicle" was the unique and beloved nickname given by the first-born and eldest son of a godly, good and generous father who not only loved to eat sweets but was a Korean War Veteran who fell victim to a lesser known, but ever-increasing form of domestic and spousal abuse called: "perspecticide."
​




At its foundation, perspecticide is a controlling, coercive and cultish form of abuse with a component of brainwashing not unlike that of a prisoner of war [POW] or cult member.
​

A Proposal for Policy Changes
​

1.  Intervention
​

Unlike an addict who is told they need to "hit rock bottom," or "nobody can save them but themselves," "they have to help themselves," abuse victims become more and more controlled, coerced and captive and are not unwilling to leave, but mentally, emotionally and/or physically unable to seek help or leave.  As it stands, government agencies don't recognize or respond to the third-party interaction or intervention of an informed and experienced church, counselor or close family member and won't involve themselves or interact under their current policy.

2.  Removal
​

In virtually all cases of domestic or spousal abuse, it is the victim who must be displaced either for their own safety, or at their request to a shelter or safe location; however, often times, this is a further punishment or injustice to the victim, because apart from the suffering of the perspecticide, the living conditions in the house or home, may be more comfortable or convenient rather than being displaced.  If anything, the abuser should be the one removed from the home for counseling, correction or in some cases, incarceration.

3.  Equality
​

Creatively and originally the dominant of genders, males or men, more readily used and abused their God-given dominance or superiority to use and abuse women.  However, in an age of feminism and female self-empowerment, such abuse has led to a 50% equality in the overpowering of males or men, by females or women, especially as the man becomes more enslaved, weakened or aged.  This also leads to an inordinate number of women or female governmental agency workers or employees who are ill-equipped or inexperienced in attending to the males or men who are used, abused or victimized.

Often times, with an evil spirit of prostituting herself, a woman will use and abuse a godly, good, and generous man for his wealth out of a love for money, more than love of the man himself.
​

The three telltale signs are these:
​

A. In the case of non-adulterous husbands and wives, does the sex life of the couple correlate, change or cease in relation to the man’s net-worth or wealth? In addition, does any decrease in the man’s finances lead to female’s ransoming of physical relations or infidelity?
​

B.  Does the level of true love and care decline in relationship to the male's or man's decrease in net worth or wealth? In other words, is the true character and motivation of the female or woman reveal itself to be mostly and more of a love of money than the love of the man?
​

C. In addition, in the case of married men and women, or any partnership, instead of their successes and wealth growing and increasing together; does the user and abuser's net-worth increase while the victim's net worth decreases?
​

"Don't Forget"
​

Remember: "There is a difference between forgetting something and not knowing something."  Often times, the brainwashing may manipulatively be masked as Alzheimer's Disease or dementia; when in fact, apart from the natural memory loss all humans suffer, over time, the diminished loss of brain power or memory is more a function of wrongly depending on and trusting an abuser with the knowledge and information about one's life and personhood, rather than forgetting the simplest of things and losing the identity and character of oneself.

It’s OK to Hate
​

Truly we want to love and forgive, however even biblically there's godly cause to hate evil, sin, crime, injustice, deception and so forth.
​

In addition, keep in mind, the emotions of depression and anger have two forms, a good and godly form or a destructive and deadly version.  Truly, even in the good form each are founded and emotionally linked, often altering between the depression which can lead to suicide, or anger which could lead to murder. However, there is never a reason to murder oneself or the abuser, but with such emotional suffering there is always an alternative means of escape and liberation, healing and healthiness.
